Advertise on Restoration Register
The people reading this site own an old building and have just worked out that repairing it properly is expensive. They arrive looking for grant money, and they leave looking for someone who can do the work. That is a short and expensive shortlist to be on.
33 municipal heritage grant programmes — the only place in Ontario they are gathered in one table — alongside 242 heritage trades, 72 consultants, and 50 service and region pages. For traffic on a specific page, email hello@restorationregister.com and ask: you will get the real figure for that page rather than a site-wide number chosen to look good.
Featured placement — trade
$50
Contractors and craftspeople already listed in the trades directory.
- Your listing sits at the top of its region page and its trade page, above the source-count order everyone else is sorted by.
- A Featured label on every card, so a reader can see it is paid.
- Your existing listing, unchanged — same details, same profile page.
Featured placement — consultant
$75
Conservation architects, heritage engineers and planners already listed on the consultants page.
- Top of the consultants directory, above the source-count order.
- A Featured label on every card.
- Reaches owners at the point they have discovered they need a heritage impact assessment before a permit.
Category sponsorship
$150
Suppliers and manufacturers — lime mortar, salvage, restoration glass, slate, hardware — who are not contractors and so are not in the directory.
- Your name, logo and link in a sponsor block at the top of one trade category page — Masonry, Windows, Roofing, Timber framing and 17 others — 21 categories, each with a page already built and populated.
- The block says plainly that sponsorship pays for the page and does not affect who is listed on it. That disclosure is not removable.
- You do not need a directory listing, and buying one is not possible.
What money does not buy
Worth stating plainly, because it is the reason the directory is worth advertising on at all.
- It cannot get you listed. Listings are compiled from public heritage directories and municipal records. They are free, and they stay free. If you are missing, email hello@restorationregister.com and be added at no charge — that is a separate thing from this page, and buying featured placement before you have a listing does not create one.
- It cannot remove or demote anyone else. Everyone below the featured slots keeps the order they were already in: by how many heritage authorities list them, then alphabetically.
- It cannot change what a page says. Grant amounts, match rates, review dates and profile details are not for sale, and no sponsor sees a page before it publishes.
- It is always labelled. Featured listings carry a Featured tag. Sponsor blocks say that sponsorship pays for the page and does not affect who is listed on it. Neither label is removable, at any price.
What happens after you pay
Checkout is Stripe, monthly, in Canadian dollars. Enter your business or firm name exactly as it appears on your listing — that name is what gets matched. Placement normally goes live within one business day and you are emailed when it does. If the name matches more than one listing, or none, nobody guesses: you get an email asking which one you meant.
Higher tiers exist on all three lines, and a longer commitment, a purchase order or an annual invoice can be arranged. Email hello@restorationregister.com and say what you need.
